I haven’t tried the original but I love this. It’s similar to what I imagined based on reviews of the original. To me it opens with a bit more sharp lemon than what I initially expected but it definitely has a tropical vibe of pineapple and mango. As it warms up, it gets a bit sweeter but to me it’s not overly sugary at all, it leans more tropical and fresh. Think pineapple and mango daiquiri (with rum) not a fruity candy. The freshness and rum makes this more sophisticated and I think it will work really well in warm weather.
