I’ll be the first to tell you I not usually a fan of inspired by perfumes, only due to the way they can alter how I feel about the original scent. When an inspired by perfume is done wrong, it really can ruin your perception of the original. Think of it as having a bad food dish, and then being a little reluctant to have the same dish again somewhere else, because it’s ruined the image of the meal for you. I love my soie Malaquais, but don’t love how quick I was finishing it. So I purchased this. I can tell you this inspired by fragrance is a beautiful, well lasting take on the popular scent. It’s done well, really balanced and dries down similarly - remaining pronounced for a while.
This scent is hard to describe - so I’ll relate it to food.
Think of a non-sweet dark chocolate, chesnut, orange peel and blackcurrant berry pastry, that was sprayed with rose water. The kind that is tart, rich and definitely sold at an overpriced hotel. It’s not gourmand at all, but is warm/cozy in a rich way.
I haven't tried the original, but have been really interested in trying it. This a great balance of fruity, warm, nutty and floral. It smells very niche and interesting, but also easy to wear.
This one is absolutely brilliant. Bright and fresh yet warm and silky smooth at the same time. Honestly this one isn’t to be missed, it’s incredibly close to the one that inspired it.
Beautiful! Love It one of my new favourites and so affordable. Well done team
This fragrance is beautiful. On me, the bergamot comes through as a sparkling top note, then a quiet, refined rose intertwined with whisps of silk starts to develop. Absolutely taken by the dry down - the melding of chestnut and cacao is deliciously rich and comforting. Longevity is 10/10.
